In June, the Aspen Institute will host its annual Aspen Ideas: Health gathering, featuring eight new speakers who will join over 150 leaders from various fields to discuss innovative approaches to health and medicine. The three-day convention will take place on the main Aspen Institute campus.
Among the new speakers announced for Aspen Ideas: Health are Vivek Murthy, U.S. Surgeon General; Mandy Cohen, director of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Anne Wojcicki, co-founder and CEO of 23andMe; Peter Lee, president of Microsoft Research; Laura Deming, partner and founder of The Longevity Fund; Malama Tafuna’i, primary care physician and senior professional practice fellow at Va’a o Tautai; Barbara Natterson-Horowitz, professor of medicine at UCLA School of Medicine; and Joshua Roan, cellist and composer and creator of the Immunity Project.
The first group of speakers for the Aspen Ideas Festival has also been announced earlier this month, including Jane Fonda and Bill Maher. The festival runs from June 23-29 and is the flagship summer convening of the Aspen Institute.
