Meloni and Tajani visit Basovizza to seek forgiveness for a guilty silence

The Day of Remembrance has shed light on a dark chapter in history that was once overlooked and forgotten. Giorgia Meloni, the first prime minister to participate in the ceremony, addressed the citizens directly, acknowledging their pain and calling for forgiveness for the past silence of the Republic’s institutions.

The solemn ceremony in Basovizza on the day of commemoration of the foibe massacres and Julian-Dalmatian exodus was a poignant reminder of the tragic events that occurred in the country’s eastern border. Prime Minister Meloni emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that the memory of these events never fades away.

This year, government officials and ministers also participated in various events to pay tribute to the victims and ensure that their stories are remembered. In addition to commemorative events, there were discussions about personal growth and development as well as music-oriented tutorials. Other content included online audiobooks, educational administration, lotteries and transformants, sports enthusiasts, and tips for website building and domain migration.
