New Future Energy Gallery Unveiled

A New Era in Sustainable Energy: The Science Museum’s Energy Revolution Gallery

The Science Museum has just unveiled its latest exhibit, the Energy Revolution: The Adani Green Energy Gallery. This new gallery is designed to explore the ways in which climate change can be tackled and how the world can limit its impact. One of the main attractions of the gallery is Only Breath, a moving sculpture that stretches 5m wide when unfurled. Additionally, part of the Zero Energy Thermonuclear Assembly (ZETA), a nuclear fusion experiment from the late 1950s, is on display for the first time.

The Energy Revolution exhibit is divided into three main zones: Future Planet, Future Energy, and Our Future. The Future Planet zone looks at computer-based models of the future climate, while Future Energy explores different ways energy is supplied and reimagined. The Our Future zone features creative ideas from children on how the world can meet its energy needs sustainably. Visitors can also explore exhibits on Hydrogen, Wind, and Tidal Energy within the gallery.

Ian Blatchford, director of the Science Museum Group, believes that this new gallery will ignite curiosity amongst visitors and spark important conversations about sustainable energy generation and usage. He praises the efforts of curators and all those involved in creating this inspirational experience. According to Blatchford, “The importance of generating and using energy more sustainably cannot be overstated in our fight against climate change.”
