In one year, experts will gather at the 77th World Health Assembly in Geneva to tackle the most pressing health challenges. Despite significant progress made in improving diagnostics, access to diagnostic tools remains a significant issue, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Fragmented supply chains and market barriers continue to hamper efforts to improve diagnostics in these regions.
To address these challenges, diagnostic network optimization (DNO) has emerged as a valuable tool for identifying gaps, limitations, and inefficiencies in healthcare networks. However, much of the information collected during DNO processes remains underutilized, hindering progress towards better diagnostics.
To overcome these challenges and drive progress towards more accurate and rapid diagnostics, Foreign Policy and Cepheid are hosting an event on May 30th. The event will discuss ways to leverage DNO insights for better pathogen detection, strengthening global health systems, achieving universal health coverage, and combating antimicrobial resistance. The event will take place from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM CET on May 30th, 2024.
