AMC Theatres is set to launch a new movie distribution business with the help of two experienced executives, Stephanie Tierney and Kevin Arnold. Tierney has been appointed Vice President of Distribution, while Arnold has been promoted to Vice President of Programming Promotions & Partnerships.
In her new role, Tierney will work closely with the music industry to develop customized distribution strategies and marketing campaigns that engage fans. Meanwhile, Arnold will collaborate with Denson-Randolph to bring more leading music artists to the big screen through AMC Theatres Distribution.
The success of events like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé has shown that movie theater operators can take on the role of a distributor. This new venture by AMC Theatres is expected to disrupt the Hollywood studio system once again.
Tierney brings extensive experience in partner marketing for various brands, which will be a valuable asset in her new role at AMC Theatres. She previously worked at Fandango leading the integrated marketing team, where she worked with studios, exhibitors, and brand partners to drive consumer awareness and ticket sales.
AMC’s Chief Content Officer, Elizabeth Frank, expressed excitement about the future of AMC Theatres Distribution with the expertise of Tierney and the leadership of Denson-Randolph. The success of their past projects has paved the way for an exciting new business venture for AMC.
