Asian Stock Markets Falter, US Markets Celebrate Independence Day with Closure: Market Insights for the Week Ahead

The US stock markets were closed yesterday in observance of Independence Day, while Asian stock markets experienced a decline on Friday. The Asia Dow index decreased by 0.3 percent, with the Nikkei index falling by 0.4 percent and the TOPIX index by 0.04 percent in Japan. This led to an increase of 2.3 percent in stock price and its highest level since January 2021.

In the foreign exchange market, the yen strengthened against both the dollar and euro, while Bitcoin has been on a downward trend for four consecutive days.
