Bartlesville High Baseball Sweeps Muskogee in Thrilling District Season Finale, Securing Seventh-Place Finish.

Bartlesville High baseball ended its District season on a high note with a two-game sweep over Muskogee on Tuesday evening at Rigdon Field. The team secured a seventh-place finish in 6A-District 3 with a thrilling 4-1 victory over the Roughers, leaving senior players with an unforgettable night.

The Bruins took control of the game early, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to establish a commanding 3-0 lead. A string of six consecutive batters reaching base, five of them through singles, allowed Bartlesville to take the first lead. Brenden Asher’s base hit drove in Brett Eaves to kickstart the scoring, and Muskogee made a costly error that helped secure Bartlesville’s advantage.

Asher delivered an outstanding pitching performance in his final appearance as a Bruin at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium. He pitched a complete seven innings, allowing only one unearned run while working around seven hits. With five strikeouts in the last two innings, including a crucial one to end the game, Asher was instrumental in Bartlesville’s success.

With the District season now complete, Bartlesville eagerly awaits its Regional pairing as it prepares for the postseason. The playoffs are expected to begin next week on either Wednesday or Thursday and will provide the team with another opportunity to continue its winning streak and achieve its goals for the season.
