The Castle Country Business Expansion and Retention (BEAR) initiative is a volunteer group that aims to support local businesses in Carbon and Emery counties. Led by Shanny Wilson, the Carbon County Economic Development & Tourism Director, BEAR focuses on promoting growth and job creation within the community. By strengthening existing businesses, the initiative contributes to the economic resilience and sustainability of the region.
The group hosts monthly General Meetings on the fourth Thursday of each month at Utah State University Eastern in Price. These meetings provide a platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing among local businesses, community members, leaders, and economic development stakeholders. The next meeting on April 25 will feature Brock Johansen, CEO of Emery Telcom, discussing collaborative efforts in economic development.
Attending BEAR General Meetings is an excellent way to stay updated on developments and opportunities in Carbon and Emery counties. For more information or to get involved, contact Nick Tatton, Price City Community Director at communitydirector@priceutah.net. Join us in supporting the growth and prosperity of our community through BEAR.
