On February 14th, we are launching a new series titled “Taboos and tricky topics” to engage in difficult conversations about science culture. This series is a follow-up to our previous launch of our “Vision for a Great Science Culture,” where we outlined the values, behaviors, and expectations of a positive science community.
While creating a positive science culture will benefit everyone, it will require collective effort and may present challenges. The goal of this series is to address the tensions within science culture, such as the balance between advancing a research career and dedicating time to improving aspects of science culture. We want to provide a platform for individuals at different career stages and from different backgrounds to share their perspectives.
To participate in the conversation, visit our YouTube channel or LinkedIn page at 4pm UK time on February 14th. You can also submit your questions and comments at any time leading up to the event. Our questions and comments board welcomes your input anonymously.
