The Browns have announced that they will sign former Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco to their practice squad. Flacco, who is 38 years old and was the Super Bowl XLVII MVP, had been eager to play this year but had not received any significant interest until last week.

The Browns were impressed with Flacco’s performance during a workout on Friday and offered him a job. Currently, the Browns are relying on Dorian Thomson-Robinson as the starter and P.J. Walker as the backup. However, with starter Deshaun Watson out for the rest of the year due to knee and shoulder injuries, the team has been looking for additional options.

Flacco, who was a first-round pick in 2008, has previously played for the Ravens, Broncos, Jets, and Eagles. His return to the AFC North could potentially have an impact on the division.
