Jeff Skinner to be honored for playing his 1000th game with the Sabres on Tuesday

The Buffalo Sabres are set to celebrate Jeff Skinner’s 1,000 NHL game on Tuesday night when they face the Washington Capitals. This will be the second meeting of the season between the two teams, with the Capitals coming out on top in overtime with a 4-3 victory in their last game.

A pregame ceremony will kick off the celebration at 6:55 p.m. with special giveaways for fans who arrive early. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative red beanie featuring Skinner’s signature. Throughout the night, Skinner-themed giveaways will also take place.

The Sabres will be wearing their black-and-red alternate jerseys for the final time this season, which will feature a commemorative jersey patch with the Jeff Skinner 1,000th game logo. Buffalo has a 18-19-1 record at home and is 35-35-5 overall, with a scoring differential of -5.

On the other hand, the Capitals have a 16-16-4 record on the road and are 36-27-10 overall with a scoring differential of -30.
