Get ready for a deliciously scientific night: TLU’s Chemistry CHAOS Night is back tonight

The Pi Rho Chemistry Club at Texas Lutheran University is hosting their annual Chemistry CHAOS Night, where attendees will have the opportunity to explore the wonders of chemistry in new and exciting ways. This year’s theme is “The Chemistry of Food and Cooking,” and participants will have the chance to engage in hands-on experiments that showcase the processes involved in food and cooking science.

Led by Dr. Alison Bray, professor and chair of the chemistry department at TLU, visitors will be able to experience chemistry in a fun and interactive way. From making biopolymers to conducting candy chromatograph and tasting liquid nitrogen ice cream, attendees will learn about the science behind the foods we eat every day.

Kids of all ages, from kindergarten through high school, as well as adults, are welcome to attend and participate in the evening of CHAOS. The event will take place at Jackson Park’s Student Activities Center from 6 to 8 p.m., and it’s free and open to the public.

The Pi Rho Chemistry Club at TLU aims to educate and inspire the community to learn more about the science of food and cooking through this event.
