KinderFarms, LLC is issuing a recall for all lots of KinderMed Infants’ Pain & Fever (oral suspension) and KinderMed Kids’ Pain & Fever (oral suspension) due to a potential health risk associated with acetaminophen instability. These products were manufactured by a major U.S.-based OTC pharmaceutical manufacturer.

After ongoing testing of sample batches, it was discovered that some product lots were no longer within the required specifications and may pose a health risk. The impacted products include all lots of KinderMed Infants’ Pain & Fever (2 fluid ounces/59 mL), (Acetaminophen – 160 mg per 5 mL), Oral Suspension, and KinderMed Kids’ Pain & Fever (4 fluid ounces/118 mL), (Acetaminophen – 160 mg per 5 mL), Oral Suspension. The recall was initiated out of an abundance of caution.

Due to the potential health risk with acetaminophen being outside of specification, the product may cause acute adverse health effects, including abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or jaundice at higher doses. While KinderFarms has not received any reports of serious adverse events from either of these products to date, it is important to take precautions and follow the recall instructions promptly.

The products are available nationwide in drug/pharmacy stores, supermarkets, direct delivery services, national retailers and online through major e-commerce sites. It is important for consumers to be aware of this recall and take action as soon as possible to protect their health and safety.
