The customs investigation office in Berlin-Brandenburg has made a major discovery of cocaine at Lidl stores. Over 223 kilograms of the drug were hidden in banana boxes across eleven Lidl branches. This significant find is estimated to be worth between 10 to 15 million euros, based on a gram price of 50 to 80 euros.
While the customs investigation office provided specific details on the discovery, the Brandenburg police declined to provide any figures when asked. However, they did mention that cocaine in small quantities was found in various locations across the region. The cocaine will be destroyed on Friday.
