Debbi Honey, RN, has recently been recognized as one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s 90 Patient Safety Experts to Know. As the senior vice president and chief nursing officer of Covenant Health since 2017, Honey has played a vital role in enhancing patient safety indicators and improving the overall patient experience at the organization.
Honey’s responsibilities include overseeing the quality and safety of nursing operations, standardizing processes to enhance patient and operational support activities at Covenant Health. She is also actively involved in clinical leadership development on both local and national levels. With a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Minnesota, Honey is a highly qualified healthcare professional. She holds certifications in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) and as a Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), in addition to being a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
