Recently, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office in Missouri received praise for a lighthearted social media post about an encounter with a unique vehicle. The agency shared images of the vehicle, which resembled a UFO, on its Facebook page after officers pulled it over during a traffic stop.
The social media response to the post was full of tongue-in-cheek humor, with users sharing their own sightings of the vehicle and even making references to popular science fiction. There were also concerns about the safety of the vehicle raised by some users.
In the Facebook post, the agency humorously commented on the unusual encounter, mentioning that the vehicle looked a little out of this world in Crawford County. They stated that the “friendly humanoids” inside the UFO-style vehicle had “come in peace” and were traveling to a festival in Roswell, New Mexico, a city known for its association with extraterrestrial activity.
Reports confirmed that the owner of the saucer car was from Indiana and that the vehicle had been built from a modified 1991 Geo Metro. The agency’s playful approach to the unusual encounter was commended by many, adding a fun and entertaining twist to what could have been a standard traffic stop.
