Croatian Students Showcase Innovative Robotics and Inventions at Infobip’s “Alpha Centauri” Campus Event

On Saturday, May 11, Infobip’s “Alpha Centauri” campus in Zagreb will showcase the latest and greatest in robotics, innovation, and creative inventions from students throughout Croatia. This event is a culmination of a four-year educational project by STEMI, Infobip, and A1, with the support of many partners. More than 500 students and over a hundred teachers have been working on creating, programming, and designing dancing robots, AI applications, and IOT programs for the past six months.

Last year’s competition winners were from Rovišće Elementary School who participated in the “Robotics and Automated Systems” category. Their mentor, Davorka Medvedovi, expressed deep satisfaction in seeing their effort, dedication, and teamwork resulting in great success. This victory motivated the students to take on mentorship roles for this year’s competition, furthering their growth and development.

Bjelovar High School students also found success in last year’s competition, surprising their mentor, Mihaela Kelava, with their win. Along with technical challenges, they had to balance their school schedule to focus on the demanding task at hand. Kelava emphasized the importance of drawing student interest and engagement in projects like these
