Dagestan, led by Sergei Melikov, has recently announced its willingness to accommodate refugees from Palestine if a state-level decision is made. The territory has already shown its support by sending 30 tons of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip using a special aircraft from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. This aid is intended for residents who have suffered during the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Melikov emphasized that this help will not be limited to just sending aid, as Dagestan is prepared to provide refuge for those affected by the conflict. Women and children will be given priority for accommodation. The head of Dagestan has instructed the regional government to work quickly on this issue.
Similarly, Chechnya has also expressed its readiness to accept 250 refugees from Palestine. This demonstrates the commitment of these regions to providing support and accommodation for those impacted by the conflict in the Middle East.
