Daniel Kim, a junior at Los Alamos Excessive College, positioned third in Environmental Engineering on the 2023 Regeneron Worldwide Science and Engineering Truthful (ISEF) in Dallas, Texas. His venture, Engineered Underwater Car for Ocean Litter Mapping, was considered one of 86 competing on this class.

“In my venture, I engineered an underwater car to gather footage of the ocean, and a machine studying laptop program to investigate the collected footage for ocean trash,” Daniel defined. “Utilizing this instrument, litter in any respect depths of the ocean will be tracked and mapped to help in cleanup efforts sooner or later.
