The Red Sox first visited Wrigley Field in 2005, and this game is another piece of Cubs history. It also provided the opportunity to watch future Cub Jon Lester pitch in Wrigley Field before joining the Cubs as a free agent. Lester pitched for the Red Sox during this game and a homerun from Luis Valbuena brought the Cubs within one run, but they ultimately lost the game.
