On Sunday at 1:30 p.m., Smith Wilkes Hall, located at 21 Foster Ave., Chautauqua will be hosting a talk by Nicole Virgil, a Christian Science healing practitioner and public speaker. The talk, titled “Be Set Free,” will focus on universal healing principles found in the Holy Bible, specifically in the life and teachings of Christ Jesus.
Virgil will discuss how circumstances often create obstacles that may seem difficult to overcome in order to live freely. By examining liberty from a Biblical standpoint, she will share how individuals today find freedom from physical, emotional, and circumstantial limitations that may appear beyond their control. Drawing from examples of healing in her own life and professional practice of Christian Science, Virgil will explain why Christian Science is both Christian and scientific, allowing individuals to personally prove its effectiveness as outlined in the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of the Christian Science movement.
