Diverse Events Planned for May by Local Chambers of Commerce

The Flathead Food Bank will benefit from the 13th annual Closing the Hunger Gap food drive hosted by Fundraiser Alliance Title & Escrow in May. The collection of food and funds will take place throughout the month at Flathead Valley branches, with a portion of the revenue generated also being donated to the cause. Drop-offs can be made during business hours, Monday to Friday, until May 31. Since 2012, this campaign has contributed 268,116 pounds of food and $377,184 to local communities in need.

On May 9, the Bigfork Chamber of Commerce will host its May Sundowner at Tall Pine located at 435 Grand Drive in Bigfork. This event provides an opportunity for business professionals in the community to network and learn about upcoming events.

The Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce will hold its May membership luncheon on May 14 at Cedar Creek Lodge, 930 Second Ave. W in Columbia Falls. The guest speaker for this event is Doug Mitchell, executive director of the Glacier National Park Conservancy.

Businesses looking to make the most out of their chamber membership can attend a Maximize Your Membership session on May 6 from 8-9 a.m., hosted by the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce at their location at 2 South Main St., Suite 205. This session provides valuable information on how to get the most benefits from being a chamber member.

Additionally, the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their government affairs committee meeting on May 6 at noon at their location at 2 South Main St., Suite 205
