Week 14 Weekly Awards for SEC Men’s Basketball

The Texas A&M guard, Tyrece Radford, and the South Carolina forward, Collin Murray-Boyles, have both been named Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week, respectively. Radford averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in wins against Missouri and No. 6 Tennessee. In the win against Tennessee, he scored 27 points on 9-of-17 (52.9 percent) shooting along with five rebounds and five assists. He made an impressive 53.1 percent of his shots and connected on 80.0 percent of his shots from the charity stripe.

On the other hand, Murray-Boyles is a freshman who played for South Carolina and stood at 6-foot-7 with a weight of 231 pounds from Columbia, S.C., he was named Freshman of the Week for his outstanding performance in two games against Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. During these games, he averaged an impressive 23.5 points, eight rebounds, and 1.5 blocks while shooting an amazing 78.6 percent from the floor. He had a career-high of scoring 31 points on only 14 shots (an accuracy rate of 82.4 percent) while also getting seven rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block against Vanderbilt’s defense team which is a testament to his skills as well as hard work put into it by him
