Cousins Launch Lancaster Flooring Business Double D’s

Derrick Schneider and Dillon Pinkstock, two cousins with a shared passion for flooring, founded Double D’s in the spring of last year. Inspired by their desire to create a family business that would allow them to spend more time with their children, the cousins decided to go into business together.

The idea for Double D’s came from their parents, Misty and Greg Pinkstock, who used to own Country Carpets on Cedar Hill Road. The cousins wanted to create a business that they could do for the rest of their lives while incorporating their family into it. After searching for the perfect space, they found an old church that had been abandoned for years. They renovated the building and turned it into a thriving flooring business located near Nick’s Pizza on Wheeling Street.

Double D’s is currently open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but there are plans to expand in the future by opening on Saturdays and staying open later during one weeknight. For more information about Double D’s, people can visit the Double D’s Facebook page or contact them via email or phone.
