Dustin Johnson has won his third LIV Golf title at the Las Vegas Invitational. He birdied three of the last six holes to finish one shot ahead of his closest competitors, including Talor Gooch and Peter Uihlein, who finished second at 11 under. Johnson battled cold and windy conditions throughout the tournament, ultimately topping the leaderboard at 12 under to claim the $4 million prize money.
Jon Rahm followed closely behind in fourth place on the leaderboard, while Paul Casey, Graeme McDowell, and Jason Kokrak tied for fifth at eight under. Smash GC, consisting of Gooch, McDowell, Kokrak, and captain Brooks Koepka, took the team title on 33-under, seven shots ahead of Johnson’s 4Aces. This victory comes after Johnson’s first two LIV Golf titles in Boston in 2022 and Tulsa the year before.
Johnson spoke about his victory saying “It’s a great win. I knew it was going to be tough with the conditions.” He acknowledged that playing against a group of skilled players right around the lead is difficult. Bryson DeChambeau shared the 36-hole lead with Johnson but a final round four-over-par 74 led him finishing tied for ninth at seven under.
