The No. 7 USC Aiken golf team is ready to compete in the upcoming NCAA South/Southeast Regional tournament, which will take place from May 9-11 in Gainesville, Ga. Hosted by No. 1 North Georgia, the tournament will feature fifteen of the top 25 teams fighting for five spots at the national championship. The team, led by Michael Carlisle, will be represented by Oscar Abrahamsson, Justice Hartman, Rory McDonald O’Brien, Erik Olin and Gage Weeks.
Abrahamsson holds a 72.06 stroke average and was co-champion of the Wexford Intercollegiate while McDonald O’Brien has a 72.18 stroke average and won the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate and secured another top-five finish earlier this season. Leading the team with a 71.81 stroke average is Olin who has achieved top-five finishes in multiple tournaments throughout the season including being named Southern Conference Player of the Year earlier this year
