ECU Health in Greenville, N.C. is currently reaching out to community members in eastern North Carolina for feedback on their ongoing Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). Gathering input directly from community members is essential to understanding the most pressing health issues affecting local communities and to tailor efforts to address these challenges effectively. The CHNA is conducted every three years and serves as the foundation for improving and promoting good health in the region.
ECU Health is inviting all community members aged 15 and older to participate in the CHNA survey, which takes about 10 minutes to complete and is completely confidential. Feedback received from this survey helps ensure that healthcare needs are met in the 29 counties served by ECU Health. The survey remains open for responses until June 7, 2024.
The CHNA process involves collecting and analyzing data on demographics, socioeconomics, and health-related statistics. While this information is valuable, direct input from community members is crucial for gaining meaningful insights into the health concerns of individuals in eastern North Carolina. The results of the completed CHNA analysis will be used to prioritize strategies aimed at meeting community health needs, ultimately improving the health and well-being of individuals in the region.
The survey is available on both English and Spanish on the ECU Health website at ECUHealth.org/CHNA. By participating in this survey, community members can help ensure that their voices are heard and that their healthcare needs are met effectively by ECU Health.
