In recent news, Elara Caring, a Dallas-based senior care provider, has acquired Caregivers Home Health, expanding its presence in Kansas and Iowa. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Topeka, Kansas, Caregivers Home Health is a privately owned company with around 150 employees and additional locations in Garden City, Centerville, and Chariton, Iowa.
This acquisition marks Elara Caring’s entrance into the Iowa market and further expands its range of services. Scott Powers, the CEO and chairman of Elara Caring, expressed excitement about the acquisition, stating that their relationship-based approach and value-based care model have led to improved patient outcomes in communities across the country.
Elara Caring currently operates from over 200 locations across 18 states, offering various services such as home health, hospice, personal care, behavioral health, and palliative care. Their dedicated team of clinicians serves over 60,000 patients every day.
Ed Schulte, the CEO and President of Caregivers Home Health expressed confidence in Elara Caring saying that they have a strong reputation for care and that their patients and partners are in good hands under their new ownership. This acquisition is just one of many expansions made by Elara Caring recently including acquiring Assisted Daily Living in Rhode Island last year and American Family Home Health in Illinois earlier this year.
