Empowering Eastern North Carolina: ECU Health Seeks Community Feedback for Comprehensive Health Needs Assessment

ECU Health is currently seeking feedback from community members in eastern North Carolina to inform their Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). The health system is inviting all community members aged 15 and older to complete the CHNA survey to provide valuable insights into the most pressing health issues affecting these communities.

By directly engaging with the community, ECU Health can better tailor their efforts to promote wellness and address critical health challenges. Conducted every three years, the CHNA serves as the foundation for improving and promoting good health in the region.

The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and all responses are confidential. Feedback from the survey helps ensure that healthcare needs are met in the 29 counties ECU Health serves. The survey will remain open until June 7, 2024. The CHNA process involves collecting and analyzing comprehensive data, including demographic, socioeconomic, and health-related statistics, but the most valuable insights come directly from community members themselves.

Once the CHNA analysis is complete, the results will be used to prioritize strategies aimed at meeting the community’s health needs in order to improve the health and well-being of eastern North Carolina. The survey is available in both English and Spanish and can be accessed through a provided link.
