Free Lunch Workshop on Business Leadership for Climate Change on Wednesday.

The Colorado Green Business Network of the Yampa Valley is hosting a free workshop for business and organizational representatives to learn about its programs. This workshop, titled “Business Leadership for Climate,” will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Routt County Health and Human Services Community Room (135 Sixth St.) in downtown Steamboat Springs.

This is the second workshop in a series that aims to educate attendees about the benefits of state-level recognition and how to navigate the application process. During this session, participants will discover strategies to accumulate points toward certification and become certified as leaders in sustainability.

Becoming certified not only distinguishes businesses as leaders in sustainability but also aligns with growing consumer demand for eco-conscious products and services. As such, attendees can expect to gain valuable insights into how to position their businesses as sustainable leaders in their respective industries.

The event is open to the public, but registration is required through YVSC.org/yvsc-events. This program was launched in summer 2022 as a free, technical assistance, and environmental recognition program that provides support for businesses looking to reduce their environmental impact while improving their bottom line.
