Betting now allowed on badminton, volleyball, and wrestling

Indiana sports wagering enthusiasts now have the opportunity to expand their horizons beyond traditional favorites like football, basketball, and baseball. The Indiana Gaming Commission has announced that sportsbooks in the state can now accept bets on professional badminton, beach volleyball, and college wrestling. These new additions bring the total number of event categories approved for sports wagering in Indiana to 32, spanning from Aussie Rules Football to World Jai-Alai.

While sports wagering operators are not required to offer wagers on the new leagues, some may choose to provide multiple betting opportunities on games or individual events, including in-game wagers. This marks the first time that betting on non-Olympic badminton and wrestling is permitted at Indiana sportsbooks.

Adults aged 21 and up can visit any of Indiana’s 13 state-regulated casinos, including the four in Northwest Indiana, to explore the different sports wagering opportunities and place bets in person. Alternatively, Hoosiers can use a computer or mobile device to bet on any IGC-authorized sport from anywhere in the state using one of more than a dozen mobile sports wagering operators affiliated with Indiana casinos, such as DraftKings and FanDuel.
