Exploring Human Rights Issues in Snow Sports: A Seminar at the FIS Spring Meetings

The Spring Meetings, organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS), featured a seminar on human rights issues in snow sports. The panel of experts leading the discussions included Adam Hall, a Paralympic alpine skiing athlete from New Zealand, Mathilde Grenet, founder of “En Garde” organization focusing on safeguarding in sports organizations, Eddie Marshbaum, Head of Sport at Quest specializing in investigations and integrity, and Ken Read, a former Canadian alpine skiing legend.

The first session on Sunday included external speakers along with FIS specialists such as Alexandra Blum, Andrea Rinaldi, Sandra Spitz, and Dimitrije Lazarovski, as well as Cornelia Blank and Daniela Lux from UMIT Tirol. In addition to the panel of experts, the seminar also featured insights from David Grevemberg, Chief Innovation and Partnership Officer at the Centre for Sport and Human Rights
