Five Startups, One Chance: Adapdom and Other Finalists Pitch for $5,000 in FastLane94 Trailblazer Challenge

St. Cloud-based business Adapdom is among the five finalists in the FastLane94 Trailblazer Challenge, which will see them pitch for $5,000 during a Shark Tank-style event on April 11th. Organized by the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation in partnership with economic development organizations in Brainerd, Fergus Falls, and Moorhead, this competition is open to new companies across west-central Minnesota.

Adapdom has developed a product that aims to alleviate pain from chronic conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia or other hand and wrist issues. Their compression support glove provides assistance to fingers, hands and wrists while performing daily activities. Joining Adapdom as finalists are Better Greens of Buffalo, FamliCare in Alexandria and ModernKind of Zimmerman.

Better Greens focuses on cultivating and providing access to a variety of ethnic African vegetables while also supporting African immigrant farmers in Minnesota. FamliCare offers an app that helps dementia caregivers organize and manage their loved one’s care journey. Meanwhile, Grandpa Jimmy’s Ice Hole Trap provides a foot-controlled landing net for ice fishing that prevents fish from escaping at the last moment.

The winner of the competition will also receive a semifinalist spot in the MN Cup hosted by the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business. The finals of the FastLane94 Trailblazer Challenge will be held at ILT Studios inside the Davidson Opera House in downtown St. Cloud, where organizers expect a strong public turnout.
