Fort William World Cup Opens with New Challenges and Intense Competition for 2024

Fort William has welcomed the return of Downhill World Cup racing as the series kicks off its first round for 2024. This marks the 21st World Cup or Championship held at Fort William, with the course being refreshed for this year to shorten the overall track time. The increased speeds and challenging terrain, featuring brutal rocks, have already taken a toll on bikes and riders during practice runs.

As the adjusted schedule for 2024 gets underway, elites and juniors are participating in timed training after a morning of practice. This provides an early glimpse into who is feeling confident for the weekend ahead. Vali Höll and Dakotah Norton posted the fastest times of the day, adjusting to new team setups for the 2024 season.

Qualifying and semi-finals are quickly approaching, with all riders gearing up to compete against the clock once more. The competition at Fort William promises to be intense, with riders pushing themselves to the limit on this challenging course. Stay tuned for more updates as the action unfolds at this thrilling event.
