Success at the First 5th Grade Science Fair hosted by North Central

On Friday, May 17th, the 5th-grade students at North Central in Pioneer had a special moment after working hard on a project all year. The botany section of the project highlighted the importance of the energy behind the words we say. One student’s project followed the journey of two plants and how they responded to being spoken to in different ways.

Abbie Apple, the teacher responsible for the project, explained how last year’s efforts led to this moment. The subscribers of The Village Reporter are reminded of the importance of supporting local businesses, including their local newspaper. Just like other small-town businesses, The Village Reporter charges a fee to access local news stories online. This minimal fee helps to support the efforts of local employees who work an average of 350 weekly hours to publish local news.

For just $2.00, readers can access seven days of website content, including the full-color E-Edition. This cost is less than a candy bar or cup of coffee and helps support a local, family-owned and operated business. Subscribers who opt for a traditional subscription will also receive the weekly printed edition in the mail.
