As a young boy, Treyvon Hoskins had a passion for mowing lawns. By the time he was 10 years old, he had turned his passion into a business and was offering his services to neighbors in Howell. Now, at 14, Hoskins has become a well-known figure in the community for his hard work and dedication.
During a recent Howell City Council meeting, Hoskins was recognized and thanked for his contributions to the community. Thanks to various donations from local businesses and organizations, Hoskins received a Craftsman riding mower, a Honda push mower, work boots and socks, business cards, T-shirts, yard signs, door hangers, and fuel for the entire season. The gifts left Hoskins speechless as he expressed his surprise and gratitude to The Daily.
Councilmember Nikolas Hertrich first noticed Hoskins mowing lawns in the summer of 2021 and was impressed by his work ethic and professionalism at such a young age. He rallied the city to gather donations to support Hoskins’ business, Treyvon’s Lawn Service. Several businesses and organizations stepped up to help including UPS driver Keith Ozment, Agape City Church, Byrum Ace Hardware
