Mother embarks on new business venture following job loss

A life-changing event led Shaana Dean, a resident of Fort Pierce, to discover a new passion for baking and spending quality time with her family. After returning from maternity leave and finding herself out of a job when her company downsized, Dean decided to turn her love of baking into a business venture.

She started taking orders through her website and selling her delicious cookies at events in Port St. Lucie. Her cookie business has experienced a surge in popularity, with flavors like blueberry lemon and churro becoming customer favorites. Through her business, Dean has been able to combine her passion for baking with caring for her young baby.

Despite the unexpected circumstances that led to The Cookie House, Dean has found fulfillment in her new venture. She is grateful for the support of her community and the opportunity to share her love of baking with others.
