Global Semiconductor Market Faces Uncertainty Amid Challenges, as Helsinki Stock Exchange Opens with Mixed Results

On Thursday, the Helsinki Stock Exchange began trading and saw a slight increase in its general index by 0.2 percent, reaching a value of 9808.57 points. The most actively traded stock was Faron Pharmaceuticals, whose share price decreased by 2.8 percent at 1.64 euros. Despite this, the company announced plans to raise an additional 27 million euros for phase 2 of their Bexmab study through a directed offering of 4.8 million euros.

Among the most active stocks, Sotkamo Silver experienced a positive impact with a 6.0 percent increase in value, while Reka Industrial was up by 3.5 percent. However, Aktia Bank experienced a decrease of 8.3 percent following the release of their dividend payment of EUR 0.70 per share.

In addition to these companies, other firms such as Constilta, Ostrobothnia Arvo Investment Cooperative, and Siili Solutions also released dividends.

When it comes to recommendations from analysts, Inderes raised its rating for Homecoming to an increase level while OP increased its target price and recommendation level for Wärtsilä.

Despite seeing less trading activity in March compared to the previous year due to a decrease in the number of trades and exchange denominated in euros, the Helsinki Stock Exchange remains uncertain about the future moves from the Fed after President Jerome Powell’s speech on interest rate policy.
