Joey Fingland, a senior at New Ulm Cathedral, recently shot an impressive 84 at the New Ulm Country Club during the opening leg of the Tomahawk Conference Golf Tournament. His outstanding performance helped lead the Cathedral boys team to an early lead in the conference title race. In a recent interview conducted by Travis Rosenau, Fingland revealed that his favorite golfer is Rory McIlroy, although he also admires Scottie Scheffler.
When asked about his favorite golf course, Fingland mentioned Wild Rock in Wisconsin Dells as the nicest course he’s ever played. He also shared that his favorite food is hamburgers and fries, specifically enjoying the burgers at the New Ulm Country Club. Off the golf course, Fingland enjoys watching baseball and softball, as many of his friends play those sports.
Fingland’s love for sports and activities doesn’t stop there. His favorite movie is Captain America: Civil War. In addition to golf and baseball/softball, he also enjoys playing basketball and soccer.
