In Lexington, a senior health fair was recently held at a living center, organized by Bonita Taylor with the United Vendors of America. The event aimed to provide local seniors and residents of assisted living homes with valuable information about health care insurance and other products and services relevant to their age group.
One of the vendors present at the event was selling skin care products, while others were selling jewelry. This provided attendees with an opportunity to find meaningful gifts for loved ones while also learning about alternative and additional benefits that could complement their Medicare coverage.
The success of this event inspired Taylor to organize another senior health fair in the near future. Patrick Lee, a representative with Aetna Medicare Solutions, emphasized the importance of face-to-face interaction in educating seniors about intangible products like insurance. This underscores the importance of providing seniors with comprehensive information about their options so they can make informed decisions that best suit their needs.
