In recent months, the State Inspectorate has intensified its efforts in Dalmatia, resulting in the closure of an illegal bungalow complex in Primošten at the end of October. The unregistered catering facility with bungalows was shut down by the service for catering, tourism services, and residence/tourist tax of the Regional Office in Split.
On October 4th and 16th, 2023, the facility known as Azalea Wine and Olive Hill was inspected by the State Inspectorate. The facility consisted of six mobile homes and one fixed building and was found to be conducting unregistered activities without proper legal documentation. As a result, an oral decision was issued banning the activities, and a written dispatch was delivered to the party on October 18th, 2023.
In addition to being shut down, the owners were also required to return any illegally earned money from the past two years. An indictment was filed with the Municipal Misdemeanor Court in Šibenik for confiscation of property benefits acquired through this offense for both 2022 and 2023. The decision on prohibiting activities was sent to various other agencies such as Tax Administration Croatian Employment Service, Center for Social Welfare. Currently, Azalea Wine and Olive Hill cannot receive reservations on their website due to its previous high rating on Booking but now unable to operate legally according to Morski portal.hr
