New start time for Tennessee baseball in College World Series on Wednesday, June 19

The NCAA has made changes to the schedule of the men’s College World Series games set for June 19 due to impending weather. The game between Tennessee and the winner of the Florida State/North Carolina matchup will now start at 3 p.m. EST, delayed by an hour from the original time. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.

On the other side of the bracket, Kentucky and Florida originally scheduled for Tuesday evening have been rescheduled for Wednesday at 11 a.m. EST, while Texas A&M’s game against Kentucky/Florida is now set for 7 p.m. EST on Wednesday evening.

The Volunteers from Tennessee have not suffered any losses in the double-elimination format and could secure their spot in the College World Series Finals with a victory on Wednesday afternoon. A loss would result in a final, deciding game scheduled for Thursday, June 20 at noon EST on ESPN2.

The Finals are set to kick off on Saturday, June 22 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN with a second game following on Sunday, June 23 at 2 p.m., with a third game airing if needed on Monday, June 24 at 7 p.m., also on ESPN2 . Tennessee’s best finish in the College World Series was in 1951 when they placed as national runners-up .
