The Israeli Army has issued a warning to residents of Beit Lahia, a town in the north of Gaza Strip, to evacuate the area and relocate to nearby cities as they prepare for a new military operation. Despite concerns about the safety of residents in Gaza, the Israeli Army remains committed to targeting the terrorist infrastructure of Hamas in the region.
According to human rights organizations, there are no safe areas in Gaza where people can take refuge from military operations. Over 34,200 people have lost their lives in the Gaza Strip since the recent attacks by Hamas on Israeli territory on October 7, resulting in 1,200 deaths.
The situation remains tense as both sides continue to engage in conflict. Following the military incursion against Hamas, the Army instructed the entire population of northern Gaza to move south. However, approximately 300,000 people have chosen to stay in the north despite ongoing attacks. It is not clear what will happen next as tensions rise between Israel and Hamas.
