An Israeli citizen was detained by Malaysian police after allegedly entering the country with the intention of killing another Israeli. The 36-year-old man was found with several weapons in his possession after arriving in Malaysia through Kuala Lumpur International Airport on March 12. He was staying at the Jelang Ampong Hotel when he was apprehended by authorities.
According to Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Hussein, the detainee claimed he came to Malaysia to carry out the murder, but authorities do not believe his story. The Israeli initially said he used a French passport to enter the country but later showed investigators his Israeli passport during the course of the investigation.
