Israel’s Strike on Iran: Biden and Netanyahu at Odds Over Military Response.

In response to Iran’s attack on Israel on April 13, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had made it clear that a military response was necessary. However, US President Joe Biden advised against an immediate response, cautioning Netanyahu against any offensive action against Iran.

Biden suggested that Israel should consider their successful air defense and consider it a victory, as the damage from the Iranian strikes was minimal. However, not all of Netanyahu’s colleagues have agreed with this approach. Some members of the Israeli government, who are more cautious or “doves,” have expressed concerns about the risks of engaging in all-out war with Iran.

The Israeli war cabinet has been in discussions regarding the timing, scope, and location of a military response to Iran’s aggression. The decision on how to proceed in the conflict with Iran remains complex and uncertain. As tensions escalate in the region, Western observers are raising concerns over Israel’s strike on Iran early Friday morning. Washington and London are closely monitoring the situation and awaiting further developments.
