Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has made it clear that he will not stop until he achieves all his objectives in the Gaza Strip, despite a threat from US President Joe Biden to halt weapons supplies if Israel launches a large-scale operation against the southern city of Rafah.
Gallant emphasized that Israel cannot be subjugated and that the country will remain firm and achieve its goals in terms of security. He stressed that they will take action against threats from groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, stating that they will do whatever is necessary to defend the citizens of Israel.
Furthermore, Gallant reiterated the government’s commitment to bringing back the 128 hostages still held by Hamas. Amidst these tensions, Israeli tanks have occupied the Palestinian part of Rafah, causing the border crossing to remain closed and impacting the entry of humanitarian aid and treatment for the chronically ill and injured.
In light of these developments, the situation in Rafah remains tense as international relations are strained. The Israeli government is facing pressure from both internal and external sources, highlighting the complexities and challenges of the region.
