Join the Flight Crew: Austrian Airlines Seeking Full-Time Flight Attendants with Gross Annual Salary of €31,080″.

Austrian Airlines (AUA) is currently looking for full-time flight attendants. According to their advertisement on their homepage, applicants will undergo two months of training before starting work with a gross annual salary of 31,080 Euros, which translates to 1,717 Euros net per month. The company highlights benefits such as an included uniform and the opportunity to work in one of the most livable cities in the world.

To be eligible for the position, applicants must have a high school diploma or completed vocational training, be fluent in English, possess an EU passport or have unrestricted access to the Austrian labor market, and live close enough to the airport to be able to report within 90 minutes when on call. After five years in the position, flight attendants can expect to earn 2,337 Euros gross per month, while after ten years, this increases to 3,475 Euros gross per month.

The company’s union, Vida, has outlined salary information for the profession. Flight attendants will earn a flat rate regardless of the number of long- or short-haul flights operated. The collective agreement in effect from March 2020 to December 2022 included a salary reduction of 15 to 20 percent due to inflation. However
