In week 12, USA TODAY’s Paul Myerberg examines the US LBM Coaches Poll and argues for Washington to be considered for the number four spot in the College Football Playoff Selection Committee.
Meanwhile, in a game against North Alabama, Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis suffered a serious lower left leg injury that caused him to be taken off the field on a cart and transported to the hospital. Despite being down 13-0, the Seminoles rallied to win 58-13 with backup quarterback Tate Rodemaker and freshman quarterback Brock Glenn stepping up in Travis’ absence.
Travis, who was saddened to end his college career this way, was appreciative to the fans who cheered for him and provided live commentary from his hospital bed during the rest of the game.
Florida State head coach Mike Norvell expressed his disappointment at Travis’ injury and provided no further updates regarding his status. The Seminoles will face in-state rival Florida next week.
