Suspicious Package Prompts Business Evacuation and Road Closures in Lower Macungie; Allentown Bomb Squad Provides Assistance | Lehigh Valley Regional News

On Monday, a business in Lehigh County was evacuated and a stretch of Route 100 is closed after the report of a suspicious package. According to Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky, the suspicious package was seen at the 8600 block of Congdonhill Drive in Lower Macungie Township at 1:30 p.m.

The Ryder Logistics warehouse, where the package was reported, has been evacuated as a precaution. Local roads, including Route 100 at Spring Creek Road, have also been closed by Branosky. The Allentown Bomb Squad was called to Congdon Hill Drive to assist in the investigation by state police shortly before 2 p.m., according to Capt. John Christopher of the Allentown Fire Department.
