Spring sports activities in Lenawee County are in full swing

Lenawee County high school sports have kicked off the spring season. On Monday, girls soccer teams took to the field. Clinton emerged victorious over Tecumseh with an impressive 8-2 win. Aubrey Lauer scored six goals for Clinton, while Anna Schaffner added two more goals and two assists. Kaylee Raiser contributed two assists as well. Goalkeeper Jackie Whiting made six saves for Clinton, helping secure their win. In another game, Monroe bested Blissfield 7-2.

Meanwhile, in lacrosse action, Tecumseh’s girls team began their season with a tough 16-4 loss to Sylvania Northview. Sapphira Williams and Emily Burgess each scored a goal and added an assist for Tecumseh in the match. Jayden Poley and Jazlyn Reau also netted a goal each for the visiting team from Ohio.
